The Johnson Family

Hello Everyone-
We are doing great.  We had a great Halloween and Blake had a great first birthday.  Not much has changed with us, just busy with every day life.  Here are some pictures from the past month...enjoy!!
Taylor had Mother Goose Day at school.  She recited "Mary Had A Little Lamb" in a very quiet voice, but got up in front of the class which is a huge deal for her.  She also picked out my old dress to wear as her costume.

The lizards we brought back from lake Powell did not last very long.  The little baby died and Kaylee let the other 2 go back into the wild.  Little Lizzie the Lizard is buried in our back yard by the fairy house.

Warren got out all of his old Star Wars toys and the girls love them.  They are pretty obsessed with Star Wars right now.
Blake turned 1 years old.  I can't believe he is a year old.   The girls were pretty excited about it all day and I was sad.  I always get sad on their first birthday.  He is definitely all boy and gets into everything!!

He loved these little fish.  He would suck on them, squeeze them, and throw them.

His birthday cake was a BIG hit.  We decided to make one of Warren's favorite cakes..lemon cream cake. Blake was a little weary at first, but he quickly devoured every single bite.  He kept looking down on his bib for little pieces.

We also got Blake a toy wagon he can push around.  The girls often use it as a shopping cart, but they also love helping Blake fill it with toys.

I love Halloween and we had a great time this year.  Everyone was a person from Star Wars, except for Blake.  This was not my idea.  It all started when Taylor said she wanted to be the Master from Star Wars.  Kaylee quickly decided to be Princess Lea, and Nicole desperately wanted to be Darth Vader.  It was pretty fun and the girls loved it.
Here is our Master or Emperor.  She was pretty scary!!

Nicole as Darth Vader cracked me up.  She was so silly walking around trying to breath like him.

Here is our beautiful Princess Lea.

I had to dress Blake up as something cute.  The girls really wanted him to be Yoda, but I couldn't do it.  Doesn't he look cute?
Here is my Star Wars family plus a tiger!

Have a great month!!

Love ya-

Well, we did it and no one died. We had a wonderful time on our trip and would like to say thanks to all we spent time with. Our first stop was with Grandma Helen in St. George. This was a quick stop as we left early the next morning for our drive to GG and GG Mortensen's home. We arrived in California around 3:30 Saturday and went straight to the pool with Grandpa Mortensen for a fun swim. Later that night we had a great dinner and a fun time visiting.
Sunday we went to church with GG & GG then went over to Uncle Charlie and Aunt Maria's house to celebrate GG & GG birthday. We also had a great time with Chaz, Kathleen, Auntie Janie, Uncle Charlie and Aunt Maria. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.
On Monday we spent the day at Legoland and had a great time. The kids loved their time there and were in ahhh of all the different things made out of legos.

This picture is for Grandma McVey. On Tuesday-Thursday we spent most of the time at both Disney parks. We spent most of our time in Tomorrow Land but made our way through all the park and hit most of the rides. The boys loved Cars Land and Star Tours, Abby enjoyed Space Mountain and California Screamin', Madison liked Thunder Mountain Railroad and Pirates, Tiffany liked Space Mountain and Star Tour and I liked the Cars ride and Star Tours.

Wednesday was 98 degrees at Disneyland so we left early and went to the beach. The kids loved the ocean and rolling around in the sand. I think we left more sand in the Hotel then we did on the beach.

On our way home we desided to stop in Vegas to see the guys from "Pawn Stars" a show on the History Channel that we watch. Of course the guys were not there but we had a fun time.

On of the highlights for me was talking Tiffany into stopping at as many Temples as we could. The first temple we stop by was the LA temple. It was a nice time to talk to the kids about grandma nad grandpa starting the McVey family there over 39 years ago. We then went to San Diago on Monday, New Port Beach on Wednesday, Vegas on Friday, and St. George on Sat. What a blessing it is to have as many temples around us as we do.

Well the end of the trip came on Saturday as we spent Friday night and Saturday morning with Grandma Helen. We went swimming late Frinday night and on Saturday Grandma took us to Tuacahn. Thanks again for all everyone did to help make this trip a reality, we had the time of our lives.
Love the McVey's of West Jordan
