The Lovely Month of June

Hello Family!

May was a fun month. We planted our garden and hope to have tomatoes, peppers, beans and peas like we did last year. We are trying pumpkin and zucchini again and hope to have better success this year. Our new plants to try this year are carrots, green onions, potatoes, and squash. We will see how it works. There has been a lot of rain so right now it looks beautiful and green outside. We hope we have blossoms soon.

Kim and her kids came up and spent the night at the beginning of the month. It was so much fun seeing them. We also got to go to Nicole's Baptism which was wonderful.

Mother's Day was wonderful. Paul made me breakfast and gave me "My First Book of Mormon" so that I can read it to Lilah. Paul also made me dinner so I didn't have to do much which was nice.

We went to Utah for Memorial day which was great. The one problem was the AC went out in Paul's car. It wasn't too hot but it wasn't cool either. Lilah was a doll and slept the whole way. We spent some time with TJ's fam., John, Pi'ikea, and Grandma. It was fun and they all met Lilah. We also spent time with some of Paul and my friends. Saturday we went to Paul's parents graves and spent time with his family. It was a wonderful trip.

Lilah is doing great. She is a wonderful sleeper. She usually sleeps from 8:30pm to 6:30am. She can now self-sooth which is really nice. She does it by sucking on her fingers just like her cousin Jadyn did. We also took her swimming for the first time. She loves taking a bath so we thought she would love the pool. She was a little overwhelmed but we will try it again. We started her on food at the end of May and she loves rice cereal. It doesn't seem appetizing to me but she eats it. She is just a happy baby; she laughs and giggles all the time. We love her so much.

Paul and I are great to. Paul is traveling more with work which is good. Hopefully it will help him get a promotion. Paul also got a new calling for church. He is now the Financial Clerk which means he handles the money that members of our ward donates. I am fine. I just love staying home with Lilah. I love making her fun little head pieces to wear :) and just being with my family. I also am doing some crafts. I finished a stocking for Lilah and am now going to refinish Dad's table he built. I will show you pics when I am done. What a fun month :)

Happy June everyone Love Mollie
This is my cute little sleeper. She will sleep almost anywhere.

The cute cousins. Blake is a bundle of joy. Lilah is still getting use to things.

Lilah is getting so strong. She is trying to sit up more and more.

Lilah is also starting to grab everything in sight and reach.

This is us swimming.

Lilah with her stocking. I actually sewed it myself.
Chloe loved Lilah's cute little toes when we visited John.

Greetings from Wellington

We had a mostly normal May. We went to the Archives everyday and worked, had the missionaries over for dinner, had Family Home Evening with the Young Single Adults, celebrated Mother's Day and my birthday, and went to the Dentist. All fun stuff.  The Dentist was fun, 15 minute cleaning by the dentist.  If you are late, say by 5 minutes, you only have a 10 minute appointment. If you need more work done, then an appointment is made for the amount of time that is needed.  Luckily dad and I needed only the 15 minutes and we were on time.  We had a fun sports night at church. The highlight was the human battleship game, which turned into a huge marshmellow fight.  The marshmellow here are different, they are harder and they are covered with a powder of some kind, so when they hit you they leave a mark.  So Dad had white marks everywhere, he got a little carried away with the marshmellow war.

We had one big trip this past month, New Plymonth. Five hours up and five hours back in one day.  New Pylmouth is famous for Mt Taranaki. It looks small in the picture, but it is huge, and from the sky, the base looks like a big circle.

This is the RewaRewa Bridge. It was designed to frame Mt Taranaki as you look back through the bridge. But it wasn't a clear day so we didn't see the mountian, but it is a very interesting design. All the people around are the senior couples that are serving in New Zealand.

In New Plymouth we also went to the Pukekura Park. It is in the middle of the city and beautiful. It was a little chilly and raining, but we had a good time.

This picture is from the hothouse in the garden.

Happy Birthday to me!  I had a great birthday. Thanks for all of the birthday wishes.  As you can tell I got a new toothbrush, the dentist does not hand them out, itunes gift card, and a wool sweater.

 Hello Family-
Life has been really busy with birthdays, last days of school, baptism, family, etc.  I love it when it is busy, but journaling kind of goes out the window.  I hope everyone had a great May.  I love the month of May with all of the excitement for summer.  Here is a quick update through pictures of our family:

Nicole's Baptism:

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa.  Nicole loves her journal, necklace, and pen...especially the pen.

Here is everyone for Nicole's baptism.  She looked beautiful and enjoyed the day.

Nicole loves her baby brother.  She is always giving him hugs and kisses.

Nicole was alittle nervous and anxious before and during her baptism.  We had to take her to a separate little place to get away from all of the attention.  Sometimes she just needs some alone time...

This picture was taken right before going inside to change.  You can already see her anxiety...but this is how she looked afterwards.  Such a change in her attitude and appearance.  It was a very special day for our family.

This picture cracks me up...we had 3 babies during the weekend.  Warren's sister Jenny came with her 3 kids, including a 2 month old, Mollie had Lilah, and of course Blake.  Each baby was taken care of depending on each babies developmental abilities.  We had babies on swings, jumpers, and playmats.

Over Memorial Weekend, we went to Estes park with some friends.  We camped and hiked.  We had a great time.

 The nights got really cold~

May also brought the end of school.  Nicole loved her teacher and she loved her.  She retired this year and she will be missed.
I decided to take a picture of the girls on the last day of school holding pictures of themselves from the 1st day of school.  Taylor looks so different!!

I also got creative this year and made the teachers clipboards for end of year gifts.  This one has each child's fingerprints on the tree.

Taylor also helped me garden and plant some flowers.  It was quite the adventure because sweet Taylor decided to do some of it all by herself...which meant pulling off the flowers and laying them in the garden.  Needless to say, Mom was not very happy.

Nicole had a huge birthday party and a trampoline place.  She got to jump around with her friends for 1 1/2 hours.   They were very worn out and had a great time.

Blake is now 7 months old and is finally rolling over.  He still can't get the rolling over from his stomach to back...but we will see what happens this month.

Hey all! Happy June! These past two months have been a great start to summer! We have been busy at work. Jacobsen has been keeping John quite busy with a lot of projects. We just won a nice big one here in Sandy. Pi'ikea has been up at the Grand America a lot and is also enjoying TA-ing for her old massage school. Pi'ikea is on the Activities committee and their most recent activities have been freezer meals, food storage, and gardening. John doesn't yet have a calling, but is very helpful with our own garden. It's small, but a nice start. We have strawberries, carrots, lettuce, beans, garlic, green onions, tomatoes, a few herbs. The birds have been eating up our strawberries, but we finally have a net to keep them out. Our yard is looking pretty good. We are slowly going to add brick edging and red lava rocks along the sides of the house and we have a fence guy coming out this week to give us an estimate.

Chloe is doing well, being a cute stinker. She still takes up most of our bed sometimes, but she's too cute to be mad at for long.

Last month we were able to go up to a friend's cabin and she took us 4-wheeling. Unfortunately it was rainy and freezing, but we still had a blast! (We had to borrow clothes because it was so cold!)

We also got to see Pentatonix, Delilah, and Vocal Point live at the Scera Theater in Orem. They were all pretty good, but Pentatonix was the best!

Other than that, things have been the usual. Work and more work. Pi'ikea has been playing a lot more volleyball lately, and John has been enjoying his computer games. We were happy to see Mollie, Paul, and little Lilah over Memorial Day weekend, and we're excited about our trip together in September! Hope the summer is going well for y'all so far!

Hello from West Jordan. During the month of April Abby had her 10th birthday as you might remember from the pictures from last month. Well I should say sorry to all and to Abby for not adding the pictures of her getting her ear's pierced. She had a great time, not and had a hard time not crying. she is glad to be done with this and wearing the earings of her choice.

As you can see from the picture above and below, Parker like his father loves to eat. He enjoys eating but loves it more when it's all over his face.
With Robbie turning 8 this year means that he is now in Cub Scouts and with Cub Scouts comes the BEST event in the world next to church basketball, THE PINEWOOD DERBY!!!!
Below is Robbie's car which he designed, sanded, and painted himself. He didn't win a race and came in second a few times but had a wonderful time.

Robbie won the award for car that most looks likes and represents a true scout.
Here's Parker posing as Robbie's pit man as the Pinewood derby.
Madison just finished dance and had a wonderful time dancing with her friends and making new friends. What Madison's next great adventure is we have no idea.
This best month was also Tyler's 6 birthday which means he had a party with friends. He invited 8 friends, played games, eat ice cream and cup cakes, opened and played with a ton of new toys.

Here's Abby with her new cousin Lila. Paul, Mollie, John, Piikea, and Grandma Helen all stopped by for Tyler's birthday and to eat a little pizza and ice cream.
To end our month of May we spent Memorial day at Tiffany's family cabin. We enjoyed our time there but did not sleep much until the ride home.
Well, we pray that everyone is doing good and will have a great summer for those of us in the northern hemisphere and for the Missionaries in New Zealand (our favorite Grandma and Grandpa McVey) have a great winter.
Love the McVey's of West Jordan
