The Look and Laugh

I wrote everything and it disappeared. Lesson learned: type in Word and then transfer.

So time is up and here is a very brief idea of what I had written.

Title "The Look and the Laugh"
Why do they give you that look when they know they are doing something wrong?
Why do my kids laugh while I discipline?

JJ - Not JJ, not Josh, but JOSHUA; don't make that mistake; mommy's helper
Jadyn - my beautiful, full of life, screaming child
Jax - watch out
Jonah - thinking to himself, "what are my crazy brothers and sister doing?"

Trip to the Houston Zoo for Spring Break.

The Crazy Kids

"What do you want?!?"

Texas Lone Horns

"What do you want?!?" - Again

Mommy's Helper

"Watch out here I come, tongue and all"

Peace and Quiet

"Can I have popcorn, who cares about the animals"

"This is pretty cool."
"Please look at the camera," said mommy
"What are they doing?"
Brotherly love

I hid under the porch because I luv you :)

So if you can guess the quote I will give an amazing prize....I will give you a hug. Anyways, the month of March was fun. I finished my first month of work. I am a receptionist at ClearChoice Dental. They do dental implants and have centers all over the nation but I work at their headquarters answering phones, making coffee (which I must say I don't do very well), get mail, etc. It isn't teaching but it pays the bill. Yes it is bill, I love living with mom and dad :) I also finished the Iliad...it was nothing like I thought it would be. I thought it would be about the whole Trojan Wars but it was only about a month near the end of the war. It was cool though becuase it was about pride and how pride will lead to your fall. Good book, I recommend it. Easter was fun...I loved spending it with Kaylee, Nicole, and Taylor.

Paul and I are doing great....just still getting to know each other :) Some sad news is that Paul's dad passed away on Wednesday night. I spent this weekend in Utah with him and his family. Paul is the youngest of 6 and his parents had him when they were older. His dad was 75 when he passed away and was a really funny man. He just had a bad heart and longed to be with Paul's mom again. She passed away 6 years ago of cancer and anytime I would speak to him (Paul's dad), he would say that he didn't know how much longer he could be here....he just wanted to go home and be with his wife. So Paul's family was just glad that he was in heaven with their mom.

So that was an emotional weekend but besides that things are good in the life of Mollie

Love y'all

From Mom and Dad

This is known as Spring in Denver. Snow one day, clear the next. We had three snow storms in
one week, and I am done and ready for the real Spring, but that means waiting until May. Dad had a very busy month working, Scouts and traveling. He was invited to go to a tactical training center in Colorado Springs and spent the day training and shooting. He had a great time in the cold and snow learning how to handle his gun.
An American Girl Doll Store opened in Denver this month and we had to go and look at everything. We have always thought Mollie looked just like this Doll named Molly. The same brown hair and glasses, so we had to have a picture.I spent the month still recovering from my foot surgery. I can now wear a tennis shoe, but still wear the small walking boot other times. While Dad was traveling all over the east coast the last week of March, I went to Salt Lake City with two Sisters who I work with in Young Women. We had a great time going to the training for Young Women, to the Salt Lake Temple (amazing) and visiting Midway, a very small town near Park City. Not alot of pictures or news this month, but wait until April.

The Johnson Family

Hello Family-
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. I love this time of year, but I wish Colorado would make up its mind. We had a snow day yesterday, and now the temperature is in the 50s. CRAZY!
We are doing well. Warren is extremely busy getting everything finalized for building his new office and working on the basement. I am busy doing "mom" things, and the girls are busy with their activities.

Kaylee just started ice skating lessons, and is enjoying them. We will probably only do one session because she doesn't think it is as fun as skiing, gymnastics, or ballet. A couple of weeks ago at gymnastics, Kaylee did a back handspring and climbed the rope without knots all the way up to the ceiling. She was pretty excited about this accomplishment and wanted Waffles for dinner to celebrate. She is now working on landing a cartwheel on the balance beam, and doing a back walkover. She almost has a back walkover, and landed the cartwheel one legged this week. Luckily, the teacher was there to catch her. Kaylee is becoming quite the little teacher and loves to make up stories. She plays school with Nicole and Taylor all the time, and her classmates call her Miss Kaylee because she loves to get up in front of the class and teach.

Nicole started swim lessons this past week again and loves them. Her teacher told me Nicole never gets tired and could swim all day long. She swims back and forth on her kick board kicking as hard as she can. This week, she floated around the pool on her back for 25 seconds. She could have gone longer, but the teacher stopped her to move onto a different skill. Her teacher is a firefighter and has numerous tattoos. She asks about the tattoos all the time. Nicole still loves gymnastics and just enjoys being there. I am in the process of teaching Nicole the alphabet in sign language hoping this might help her with spelling by giving her visual cues to bring the words to her memory. She is picking up on the letters fast and has fun trying to get her fingers to do the right thing. BIG NEWS FOR NICOLE - SHE LEARNED HOW TO PUMP HER LEGS ON THE SWING. SHE CAN NOW DO HER FAVORITE THING ALL BY HERSELF. YAY!!

Taylor is my little buddy ALL DAY LONG. She is starting to give up that afternoon nap unless I happen to fall asleep with her. She loves gum, Cocoa, and carrying a purse with a million things in it. Right now, she has her Nemo blanket, 4 books, polly pockets, a phone, a pen and notepad, and her Mermaid doll in this tiny little purse. She takes it everywhere she goes!! Taylor is also my little singer. She sings all the time and I have no idea what she is singing, but she thinks she is pretty amazing. Taylor makes us laugh all day long, and there are not many dull moments around with this determined little girl.

Taylor fell asleep one afternoon after screaming for about 30 minutes. She was following me around screaming, so I put her on this chair for timeout and within a few minutes she cried her self to sleep. POOR LITTLE THING!!

For Spring Break, our family went skiing with another family from our ward. Kaylee got her own bed and was pretty excited about it. After she fell asleep, I found this note by her bed.

One of the nights during Spring Break, the girls made a fort in our bedroom. They loved it and played in it for hours.

Here are some pictures of Nicole practicing her sight words for school.

The letter "C"

Kaylee is always bundled up nice and warm during her ice skating lessons. It is freezing cold in this building.

Pat came out for a quick weekend trip and we went to see Mary Poppins. It was wonderful!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful April. Enjoy the warmer temperatures.

Love ya-

HAPPY EASTER

Happy Easter everybody. Also Happy Birthday to Pi'ikea. Also Happy General Conference weekend. Conference was great, especially the Priesthood session on Saturday night. Anywho, thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the birthday gift for Pi'ikea. For Pi'ikea's birthday she went to a very nice spa and had some treatments done and bought some very nice and very expensive facial stuff. Then on Friday her and her friend Jill went out to lunch and saw a movie. After that I joined them and a few more of Pi'ikea's friends and went to Boondocks and played mini-golf in the snow. It was great fun. We also rode the go-carts, played laser-tag, played the arcade. After that Pi'ikea and I went to the movies and saw Clash of the Titans. It was very entertaining, no Avatar though.

Here is a picture of John with 3 of Pi'ikea's friends after mini-golf.

Other than those things March was not very eventful. Oh Pi'ikea was made manager of the spa she works at. She has a lot more responsibilities and makes 50% commission now. She is going to be making more money per hour than I will when I find a full-time job. If I find a full-time job. Speaking of that, things are looking brighter at Jacobsen. I have talked with the Chief Estimator and the head of the HR department and they both said they really want to hire me, but they are just not sure yet. There are still a few things that need to transpire to ensure my hiring. Right now we are teamed up with Kiewit and Turner to pursue I 1.5-1.7 billion dollar Data Center for the NSA. Basically a big spy center. We were suppose to find out this past week if we made the cut but the owner had some more questions so hopefully it will be this week that we find out. If Jacobsen is in the top three or four teams to make it then I will most likely receive a job offer. Anyways, we love you all and will see many of you in a few weeks at graduation. WOHOO!
