Hi from Mom and Dad

We had a fun and busy June. I don't know who said, that when the kids are gone, your life slows down., but they are wrong. It is just busier in a different way. Father's Day was fun with Mollie and I serving dad breakfast in bed. His favorite gift was a pen made out of old bullets.

Mollie and I were able to go to Salt Lake to do wedding "stuff." We accomplished alot, but I don't want to show you any pictures of dress, reception center or talk about how wonderful the food will be, because we want everyone to be surprised. Madison and Abby, John and Piikea were able to join us for part of the day and we had alot of fun while Mollie put on a wedding fashion show.

We celebrated Mollie's big 30th birthday on Sunday the 27th because I was at girls camp on the actual day. We had her favorite, Shepherds Pie, and of course, white, not chocolate cup cake cups.I went to girls camp from the 28th until July 2nd. We had alot of fun. Our camp was just outside of Leadville,11,000 feet. For the most part we had wonderful weather. On the first day as we were putting up tents, it started to rain, then hail, then a little snow, so a great start to the week with wet tents, but the next day, the sun shone and it was warm enough to dry everything out. We had a western them "How the Ranch was One" so one night we had western line dancing in the parking lot. We truly had a great time, but hopefully we can find a place that is a lower altitude.

The McVey's of West Jordan

Greetings from West Jordan. Thought you might enjoy a Parker Pic. He spends most of his morning watching mom do make-up and thought we would give it a try. The right eye was much better than the left. We hope this is a one time thing but are not holding our breath.

We hope all are doing well and enjoying the summer. We are doing wonderful and have had a great start to the summer. We spent Memorial Day weekend in Park City shopping, swimming, and sight seeing.

The girls, Robbie and Tiffany had a blast on the Alpine slides. Tyler, Parker, and Dad hung out below and played on the fun rides.

Tyler showing off his pilot skills. This was one of his favorite rides.

Madison theme for the slide was, "Slow and steady win the race."

Abby on the other hand that it would be cool to start a traffic jam as you can see from behind her. Tiffany and Robbie went down together and found themselves in the Abby traffic jam.

After an enjoyable time on the slides and park rides everyone needed a taste of the good life from the Park City Ice Cream Factory.

We hope all enjoy the month of July as much as Parker enjoys his two finger. :)

JUNE ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you all know, June is the best month of the year (right after April says Pi'ikea)! Summer is here, my birthday has passed, made an offer on a house, and we got a puppy! Things at work are pretty much the same, just busy working on different projects. On my birthday, both Pi'ikea and I took half days. She took me to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens where we had a little picnic, walked around, and enjoyed the nice weather and scenery. We liked the little kid's garden better though because it had a Koi pond where we could feed the fish. It was awesome watching them go after the food! After that, Pi'ikea gave me an 80 minute massage - I know, y'all are jealous. After that, we went to Tucanos to use up my free birthday meal card (thanks again Dad).

Pi'ikea has had more of an exciting month work-wise. She was promoted to Spa Director which means she has more responsibilities, which translates to more money for me. She's been busy organizing and making sure everything is running smoothly. She's the first official Spa Director in three years.

We got to see TJ & Tiffany, Kim & Warren, Pat, Steve, and all the kids this past weekend so that was fun. Even though we were really tired, it was good to see all of them. They got to meet our new addition to the family, Coal. He's a rambunctious, adorable, little handful. He's also a black lab and is about 7 weeks old. We are pretty tired from getting up with him every few hours, it's like having a baby without the months to prepare beforehand...and no diapers. Here's a few pictures of him for your viewing pleasure :)

We also made an offer on a house in Lehi. It's just on the border of Saratoga Springs and Lehi. It's bank owned, so we won't hear back from them for a few more days or possibly a week. It has a nice backyard, and the house is a good size with room to grow. We will keep you posted.

Happy 4th!

Well family - June was a fun month. Paul, Mom, and I went to Utah. In one weekend, I got a dress, a florist, a cake, a caterer, invitations, and took my engagement pictures. It was a busy weekend. That helped the wedding plans out alot so everything is coming along smoothly. So for those who don't know, September 4th at 9:00 am in the Draper Temple. There will be a Luncheon at 1:00 in Lindon and then the reception will be at Wadley farms in Lindon from 6:00 to 8:00. I am having fun planing. :)

Nothing else is really happening which is good. I am just busy with plans. I hope everything else is going well with everyone. Love Mollie

Johnson Family

Hello Family-
Warren and I are in Orem right now having a wonderful 4th of July. I love this time of year and spent alot of time this morning learning about the Founding Fathers. It is fun to learn more about them, especially when I haven't studied US history for YEARS!! I am so grateful for the many sacrifices that have been made and are being made for our benefit. We live in a wonderful place and I am so grateful. One of the highlights this past weekend was going to Sundance and listening to the Utah Symphony play Patriotic Songs. I love the song by Aaron Copland "Fanfare for the Common Man." What a neat title....a salute to the common people that make this country great. It was BEAUTIFUL and the LOUD brass section echoed through the mountains. It was one of those moments in life that I wanted to hold on to for alittle bit longer.

The past month has been busy, busy, busy with summer activities. I am at Pat's house so I don't have all the pictures, but I do have some. Check out our blog kimandwarren.blogspot.com for more summer fun pictures.

Here is a list of our FUN summer activities, thus far:

1) Swim Team and Swim lessons - YES, Kaylee is on the summer swim team and loves it. She is learning alot and preparing for her first swim meet. She is scared out of her mind, but it will be good for her. Nicole is our little swimmer and is advancing through the swim levels very quickly. Her teachers love her and constantly have nice things to say about our little Olie.

2) "Alice in Wonderland" - Kaylee was in a musical theater camp for one week where she learned 3 songs and memorized 3 lines for her role as the March Hare in "Alice in Wonderland." She was very nervous about rembering her lines, but she did great. It was such a fun camp. They went to camp for 3 hours Monday through Friday, and than performed the 15 minute play at the end of the week. At firt, Kaylee wasn't too excited about being a boy...but after watching a few scenes of the March Hare and the Mad Hatter on You Tube, she was so excited. She loves being random and silly, so she was cast perfectly.

3) Waterskiing - We have been on the boat alot and the girls love our new tube. Kaylee is now up on 2 skiis and crossing the wake, hestitantly....but crossing the wake. She doesn't like it when her skiis get seperated by the wake. Warren loves his wake skate and surf board. FUN TIMES!!

4) Skipping naps and staying up late - Our poor Taylor is not getting enough sleep. She wants to stay up with her sisters and almost weekly, we stay up enjoying the weather and having smores around the a campfire.

5) TOADS - Warren found 3 toads on the street late at night and brought them home for the girls to play with. They spent 1 day constantly playing with these toads named Bob, Princess Elizabeth, and Dora the Explorer. Bob was a HUGE, FAT frog who laid around and eventually gave in to the craziness. Princess Elizabeth constantly croaked, and it was a pretty sound. Kaylee said she was singing to her lost love so he could come rescue her. Dora the Explorer was extremely FIESTY. She jumped out of the bucket, jumped out of your hand, and constantly tried to escape. After one day, we let the frogs free and it was a very sad moment for the girls. Kaylee cried and cried.

.

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!

Love ya-
Kim, Warren, and the girls
