We Love Our Kids

We are all doing great and keeping very busy.

Joshua (J.J.) he is doing great in school and loving it. He gives me no problems getting up to go; it’s the getting dressed, eating, going potty that takes awhile, “eat JJ, eat JJ, eat JJ” “get dressed JJ, get dressed JJ, get dressed JJ” “brush your teeth JJ, brush your teeth JJ, brush your teeth JJ” I am so glad that he loves school because if he didn’t he might not go.

Jadyn just started school and comes home everyday asking if she can go back. I am told she is a joy to have in the classroom, I am sure when she is not throwing herself all over the place. She is also my little helper, always asking if she can wash the dishes.

Jaxson loves his little brother, Jonah. He is always asking to hold him, kiss him, and see him. It has been fun just having him in the morning with Jonah. Jaxson is full of energy and talks about everything.

Jonah is growing so fast. He is already two months and more awake and smiling everyday. Mom and Dad were able to come down for his blessing. It was great to see them and just spend time with them. The kids are always sad to see them go.

Josh keeps busy with work and his new calling in the nursery.

Jill just started to go back into the office and takes Jonah with her, thank you bosses. I also was called into the Young Women as the secretary. As you can see from the picture Mom posted I sleep when and where ever.

Love you all and miss you.

McVeys of West Jordan

Hello from West Jordan. I’m sure all are wondering about the McVey’s in West Jordan and just to let all know we are doing great. December and January were as busy as we have been all year. For Christmas, the kids got a Wii from Santa and new rooms from mom and dad. Tiffany and I spent the week after Christmas cleaning, painting, and moving kids into new and freshly painted rooms. Which I might add look great. Abby is now up stairs with a pink walled room and loves the privacy. Speaking of privacy, Madison is down stairs in a room without a view but without a sister. If you can’t find her in the house, she is in her room doing something that has to do with Harry Potter or just reading. The boys (Robbie and Tyler) have a new blue room and love the space for ALL their toys. Parker is still up stairs next to mom and dad and is growing like a weed. His is walking and talking (his favorite word is da da J). He decided to stop crawling when he found out that he could carry a pot in each and walk at the same time. Future birthday ideas for Parker… anything that he could put stuff in! He loves to put THINGS in pans and walk around the house. Tiffany is busy with the tax season and her new call in primary. She enjoys spending time on the basketball court and playing Mario on the Wii, I mean watching the kids play the Wii. I’m busy with school and school and church. I plan to finish my masters in Aug.

Happy Valentine's from Mom and Dad

We had a great start to the New Year by relaxing in the Dominican Republic for about 5 days. We stayed at the Moon Palace in Punta Cana with about 100 Sports Authority people. This is the view from our room. The weather didn't always cooperate, but we still had a great time. We went on a group boat ride that included snorkeling and a stop at a beautiful lagoon. We went deep sea fishing, but no fish, so really a great boat ride in the ocean. And relaxed by the pool when the weather was good, and, if not, we sat on the balcony and read. We had several work dinners and activities. We were in the Dominican when the earthquake hit Haiti, but we didn't feel a thing, in fact, we didn't even know there was an earthquake until about 9:00 that night. It seemed so strange to be enjoying ourselves, when on the same island, people were suffering.

We were able to be with Kaylee on her 8th birthday. We went out to lunch, watched her open her presents and then were able to meet her friends. But we had to leave early to catch the Nuggets vs Hornets. As you can tell by the picture, we had amazing seats. Second row on the floor. We had a wonderful time.

Towards the end of the month, we were able to go to Houston for the blessing on Jonah. We had a wonderful time visiting with Jill, Josh and the kids. For Houston, we had pretty cold weather, but we were able to get out and get some school supplies and clothes for Jadyn. Otherwise we stayed inside and had fun playing with the kids.
Anyone who is a new mom can relate to this picture of Jill. Hopefully we helped her out little so she could rest and also get some work done.
We had a wonderful January, but I can't say I am looking forward to February. This Friday, the 12th, I am having a bunion fixed on my right foot. I am not excited, but I know Dad and Mollie will take good care of me. I will let you know how everything turns out on the next blog up date.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Hello Family!
This is Mollie's message. I wish I had alot to say but I don't. My internship ended and it was great. Since the first of January, I have been here in Denver looking for a job. I haven't found one yet but still have hope to find one soon. I have had alot of fun too. I went to Kaylee's birthday party, her baptism, spent a weekend with Kim's family, sat second row at a Nugget's game (way cool), and spent tons of time with Paul. There really is nothing else happening. I spend most of my time at home looking for a job or cross-stitching a Christmas stocking for myself. I love the stocking - it is two angels playing trumpets. I also have started reading The Iliad. It is really good. Anyways I hope you have a good February - the month o Love.

Love Mollie

Two more months...

Well, it looks like the sick storm is finally heading out. Pi'ikea has gotten over it for the most part. Just a small cough remains. I've been back and forth, but I seem to be on the mend. It's been stressful lately with school, work, and the prep for the competition. This week I go to Reno for the ASC (Associated Schools of Construction) competition - there's a lot of pressure on us because this particular team hasn't placed in a few years...wish us luck! Valentine's Day for us is going to be uneventful this year since I'm going to Reno for a few days and won't be getting back until Sunday. However on the bright side, there is a huge job fair in Reno which I will be attending! I would love to stay with Jacobsen, but we gotta go where the options are. I promised Pi'ikea I would get a job as a birthday present to her, so I better get crackin'!

Pi'ikea is pretty busy this upcoming weekend with all the couples massages, so at least she will be able keep busy. She has started playing volleyball again for the first time in a long time. She realizes how much she misses it and will probably play every week now with her friends. The only thing is that they play nights around 9pm - 1am.

Other than illness and the usual (work and school) we've been playing a lot of WOW. (For those of you who don't know, that is the acronym for World of Warcraft. We got it as a Christmas present. Yes, it's true...we are gamers!) We probably will do that as our romantic VD celebration too. Gotta love VD! (Haha) Hey, at least we're doing something together, and not spending money by going out!

The Johnson Family

It is absolutely crazy at my house, so I am not going to write very much....JUST ENJOY PICTURES.
MY 32 BIRTHDAY!!
