Besides going to the Archive 5 days a week, we do have fun doing other things and getting use to life here in Wellington. We live on the third floor of a church owned building. Besides us on the third floor, there are two offices for the church managers, on the 4th floor is the laundry, 2nd floor are the mission office, a mini kitchen and two meeting rooms, on the 1st floor a large kitchen, recreation room with a pool table and a ping pong table. I have not played pool yet, but have tried ping pong. There is a class room and a big meeting room. In the class room, seminary is held for our ward. The picture is of the girls in seminary, in there school uniforms. There were no boys there that day, but I got a picture of Chad on another day. They are a great group of kids that come from all over Wellington to attend seminary at 7 am.

On the 13th, we celebrated Roy Ditchburn's 73rd birthday by having lunch at the Fishermans Table. It is located right on the bay, with a beautiful view of the city. In the picture from left to right is Lupe Pulu, Danny Chin (one of our supervisors from Hong Kong), me, the Overtons, Roy and Lorrine Ditchburn. Roy, Lorrine, and Lupe trained us in Digitizing.

We have a wall in the dining room that has become our picture wall. Hopefully when we are finished with our mission, this wall will be full of pictures.
In the kitchen is a bulletin board, in New Zealand a notice board, with more picture of kids, and the World Cup of Rugby score card. Everything here in New Zealand is Rugby at the moment.
Some fun things we have learned about New Zealand. Crouch-touch-pause-engage and a Try, are all Rugby terms. Teaspoons, Tablespoons and cups are different sizes then in the US, and the pan sizes are different, so cooking is interesting. The Crock Pot has become my new best friend. Thank you Tiffany for the recipes. Remember to Indicate- put your blicker on, everything is either lovely or brilliant of both, a shout-out is a celebration Even though it can be very cold, the women wear very short skirts or short-shorts with heavy black tights. In the older homes, like ours, there are no plugs in the bathrooms, our oven is on a 24 hour clock, and clothes dryers can be upside down, right side up or side ways depending on what fits best. The dryer pictured is not mine, it belongs to another senior couple, and the only place it would fit, is up side down over their bathtub, and vented through the window. Lollies are candies, Hundreds and Thousands are sprinkles, minced meat is hamburger, and driving is very scary, everyone drives on the wrong side here, I don't understand it at all.

We had the first really beautiful spring day on the 30th, so we took an extra long lunch and drove up to Mt Victoria. We stopped at a park to get a good view of Wellington and we saw that longest slide ever. We were boring and didn't do down, but just walked down the stairs.
