Greetings from Wellington

We had a mostly normal May. We went to the Archives everyday and worked, had the missionaries over for dinner, had Family Home Evening with the Young Single Adults, celebrated Mother's Day and my birthday, and went to the Dentist. All fun stuff.  The Dentist was fun, 15 minute cleaning by the dentist.  If you are late, say by 5 minutes, you only have a 10 minute appointment. If you need more work done, then an appointment is made for the amount of time that is needed.  Luckily dad and I needed only the 15 minutes and we were on time.  We had a fun sports night at church. The highlight was the human battleship game, which turned into a huge marshmellow fight.  The marshmellow here are different, they are harder and they are covered with a powder of some kind, so when they hit you they leave a mark.  So Dad had white marks everywhere, he got a little carried away with the marshmellow war.

We had one big trip this past month, New Plymonth. Five hours up and five hours back in one day.  New Pylmouth is famous for Mt Taranaki. It looks small in the picture, but it is huge, and from the sky, the base looks like a big circle.

This is the RewaRewa Bridge. It was designed to frame Mt Taranaki as you look back through the bridge. But it wasn't a clear day so we didn't see the mountian, but it is a very interesting design. All the people around are the senior couples that are serving in New Zealand.

In New Plymouth we also went to the Pukekura Park. It is in the middle of the city and beautiful. It was a little chilly and raining, but we had a good time.

This picture is from the hothouse in the garden.

Happy Birthday to me!  I had a great birthday. Thanks for all of the birthday wishes.  As you can tell I got a new toothbrush, the dentist does not hand them out, itunes gift card, and a wool sweater.
