Honestly, John and Patrick make a better couple...

This month has been a little more eventful for us. Winter Semester is over and spring is here, although you wouldn't know it from the freak snow flurries every couple of days. John is taking a law class with emphasis in construction for the Spring Semester. So far, the class is good, but the reading is long and wordy. There is a lot of writing involved, so John hopes he will do well.

As far as work goes, the summer season for alarm companies has officially started and we are as busy as ever. In Pi'ikea's department, they broke many records in the first week. On Saturday, they received over 10,000 calls, the same amount of calls the company took last summer during it's peak. One can only imagine what it will be like when they hit the peak of this season. Great for the company, but more work for John. This past week, John applied within the service department for another job, and was hired to takeover the Home Damage Repair position. He and one other person make up the department. They take calls from homes damaged by technicians, access the situation, and write the checks accordingly. It's a tough job being practical yet fair to the customers, but he's enjoying it.

Pi'ikea has been playing in a city league volleyball tournament with her Islander friends this past month, and last week they moved into the number one seed in the tournament. They ended up winning the whole thing! What made the championship game even sweeter was that their 4 players beat the other team's 6.

Until next time...
