New From Mom & Dad

It's been a super busy May, Dad found himself in New York, San Francisco, Oakland and Reno. All were for business and a couple days at a time. Ann had her Mother's Day and got a new computer with software then a couple weeks later came the birthday and she got a wireless printer for the laptop along with a number of pieces of clothing from Coldwater Creek. Some were keepers, others takebackers!

We had two special treats, Mollie came to visit prior to her departure to Romania for study on her Masters program. We had fun a couple days and went out for a special dinner of her choice. She'll be gone to Romania for some two weeks studying and playing with Pat.

The other special treat was the arrival of Ann's mom and dad. Grandma and Grandpa were here for almost a week and it was filled with fun and adventure. Monday was Memorial Day so dad was off and Warren, Kim, Mollie, Grandpa and Dad all went shooting to start the day. Grandpa tore up the hillside shooting pistols and AR15s then topped the morning off shooting 2-o with the 20-gauge at clay pidgeons. The morning was capped with greasy burgers, frys, onionrings and shakes. That evenening we had a feast of BBQ, Shrimp, Corn, Potato Salad and all the trimmings. Sauted onions and peppers were the big hit.

The rest of the week had family gatherings in Denver and Colorado Springs with many pics like the one next door. Other activities during the week included shopping for Mollie's trip prior to her Wednesday departure, grandparents having dinner with friends, celebration of Ann's birthday with a special dinner and dessert (with a song by the waiters at Cheesecake Factory). Then Friday we took off for Breckenridge to shop and see the sights then skipped over to Vail for a late lunch and more sightseeing and shopping. We got home about 5pm and enjoyed a relaxing evening in front of the tube.
There's not much more to say. We miss seeing everyone on a regular basis, but retirement (a few years down the trail) may solve that.
Everyone be good!

THE MCVEY FAMILY said...

Dear Ann and Tom: Here I go again trying to respond to this family blog using the directions given to me by Kim. Mom and I really enjoyed this month's message. I am amazed, although I should not be in this electronic message age, that Mollie could write about her experiences in Romania, and bring everyone up to date. I do hope Tom enjoys reloading for we really must have used up at least 1,000 of his various types of ammunition. He can go to the basement the next rain or snow storm. It was very good of him to spend the time and the ammunition with us on that Monday. This blog really helps us keep up with the news of your family. We did misss not hearing fom T.J.,but I am certain he will be listed in the July blog. We love you and all your family. Mom and Dad
