Bone's Bunch

Hello Family-

I can't believe it is already July!! June flew by really fast and before I know it the girls will be back in school. Congratulations to Josh for his accomplishment. YEA - FINALLY!! I am sure you are so excited and can't wait for it all to be done. First of all, Nicole is doing great. We finally know what is going on and I have been working with her a ton. She has apraxia of speech, dyspraxia, and some sensory issues. Anyways, for a complete update look at my blog - http://www.kimandwarren.blogspot.com/. (Beware:Dad said it is a novel.)

We had a fun month with playing at the pool and hanging out with friends. We had a great time in Utah the past week and got to see everyone, which is always fun. The drive out was as fun as you can imagine with 3 little girls sitting right next to each other for about 9 hours. It was alot of "stop touching me", "NOT THAT MOVIE AGAIN. SHE GOT TO PICK LAST TIME!!", and "How much longer." We got their Friday afternoon, and the girls immediately went down to the trampoline and Grandma sprayed them with water. We got to celebrate John and Mollie's birthdays with them by having dinner at Pat's one night and going out to eat. Kaylee spent the night with Madison and Abby on Sunday night and loved it. We than spent Monday up with them in West Jordan. As always, we spent alot of time in swimsuits, either playing on the boat or getting sprayed with a hose. When we were on the lake, anytime the boat would stop, Kaylee and Nicole jumped in the water. Kaylee tried to waterski and Nicole knee boarded. They both did great.

Kaylee and Nicole had a sleepover with Mollie and they loved it. They went swimming, played movie theater, and Mollie got to snuggle up with our little Olie. Thanks again Mollie for my one night sleep during the trip. Our 4th was fun. Mollie and I went for a run on the Provo River Trail early that morning and the girls just relaxed. Poor Kaylee and Nicole were exhausted from all the fun during the week. In the afternoon, we drove out to Smithfield to stay with Warren's sister Sue. We watched their neighborhood fireworks show, layed on the trampoline late at night, got eaten alive by mosquitoes, and stayed up late. Sue and Mike took us to the lake the next day and Warren went to the Cache Valley Cruisein Car show. The girls love Aunt Sue and Uncle Mike's home. Kaylee calls it the "Fun House" because of the play set, trampoline, and all of the fun toys. We got home Sunday night and Nicole immediately jumped in her bed, smiled, and said, "MY BED!!" She slept all through the night - the first time in about 10 days. It was a fun trip, just exhuasting.

Here is a quick update on the family:

KAYLEE:

She is enjoying summer. Her favorites are going to the pool, playing with friends in the afternoon, cooking day, and art day. She is constantly coloring and playing office. She is trying very hard to earn a little digital camera (our old one) by getting along with Nicole, obeying Mom and Dad, helping Mom, and being happy (she gets in whining moods, ALOT). Every once in awhile she takes our camera and takes pictures. Here is what she loves to take pictures off - I have know idea why.

Aren't they beauitful!!

She is now swimming all over the place. She likes to dive down and pick up sticks off the bottom of the pool. She stays in the shallow end, but does a great job. She is a great big sister intrepreting Nicole for me, pushing Nicole and Taylor on the swings, and taking Taylor down the slide. She has also figured out how to do cartwheels, so she is like Abby doing cartwheels everywhere she goes.

NICOLE:

Nicole is keeping busy by playing our games, going to speech, occupational therapy, playing, and swimming. Her favorite summer activities include anything that has to do with water and the fresh strawberries in the garden. She loves the pool, hose, and sprinklers. When we were in Utah, she would get Grandma Johnson's hose and you had to watch out, or you would be soaked. If no one was around she would stick her head under the hose and get drenched. She is doing so well with our little routine of activities. The other day she sat down on the toilet and said, "Mom-cold." She has never paid any attention to that kind of stuff. She is also less oral-not stuffing her mouth or chewing on everything. Nicole is such a sweetheart and everyone loves her. At playgroups on Monday, a Dad comes with his girls and Nicole loves him. He swings her and pretends to kick him in the face. She laughs hysterically and the Dad loves playing with her.

TAYLOR:

Taylor is talking, talking, talking and busy, busy, busy. Her new words are: buckle, water, moo, and car. She is constantly talking, making noises, and carrying a stuffed animal. She is walking everywhere and loves to be chased. Her favorite things about summer are: pools, the sandbox, icecream, and popsicles. She also wants to be a big girl. When the girls are coloring, she wants to be up with them participating. When the girls are outside, she wants to be with them playing in the sand and climbing up the ladder (which freaks me out!!). Taylor also loves to play in the splash park at the pool. She stands over the spout until the water squirts her in the face. You would think it would make her cry, but she laughs. It is hilarious to watch. She loves her Dad. When Warren comes home, she stops everything and runs up to him saying "Da, Da!!" It is fun watching her grow and learn. Her little personality is appearing and it is fun to see.

WARREN

Warren loves summer. He is spending alot of time swimming in the mornings, riding his dirt bike, waterskiing, and working in the garage. Work picks up in the summer which is always reassuring and exciting.

KIM

I am busy training for a 1/2 Marathon in September by running 4x a week. I am getting nervous because 2 of my friends training for the same thing, pulled a muscle, are in pain, and can't exercise at all. I am trying to be careful so I don't get hurt, but it is fun training for something. My garden is also growing and doing well, which is fun for me.

This is how Iget to take naps now. Doesn't it look relaxing!!

I hope everyone is doing well and we love you tons!!

Kim, Warren, and girls
Warren took this while driving. He thinks it is
hilarious how I can sleep like this in the car. The
car just puts Nicole and me right to sleep.
