A Wonderful July

July was very busy with friends and family visiting, but the very best of times.
The first part of July was a friends reunion. Julie and Sally came from Salt Lake and Bobbie and Nena from Houston. We had a wonderful time visiting, shopping, and seeing the sites of Colorado. Our first stop was Vail and Rae Louise (Julie's sister-in-law) was able to join us. We spent the day in Vail then on to Breckenridge where we spent the night. The next day we drove to Aspen and hiked around Maroon Bells. We had beautiful
weather for all of our excusions. We had so much fun catching up with all of our families and just enjoying each others company.
July 20th our somewhat unplanned family reunion started. Jill and kids arrived, Josh couldn't come because of work, he was truly missed. The next day John and Pi'ikea got here, the next Kim and family and Grandma McVey, and TJ and kids on Saturday. Tiffany and Parker stayed home for much needed rest. So I have just put a lot of pictures of everyone on the blog- hope you enjoy.

On Saturday the 24th, friends in Denver gave Mollie a wedding shower. We had a great time. Paul sisters where here from Salt Lake, and Jill, Kim and Pi'ikea where here for the shower too. Also, Kippy Nelsen and Nadine Rolfson, friends from Houston came. Kippy lives here now and Nadine was visiting her family here.
After the shower, the kids decided that they really needed to have a tea party on the front porch. Kaylee brought her tea set, so she set everything up with water, crackers and cheerios. A good time was had by all.

Kaylee and Abby wanted to watch "Anne of Green Gables the Continuing Story" and so we set everything up in our bedroom and they sat in the same chair, and you can't tell, but they are holding hands. The story got a little intense when it showed scenes of WWI and the girls needed to comfort each other.

On Monday Night for Family Home Evening, we went to the kids favorite place, Chuckie Cheese. Fun was had by all, including the adults.
We set up a badminton net in the back yard and we had a alot of fun playing and teaching the kids how to play. Along with the rackets and big ball came with the set and the kids really had alot of fun with that.

When Tom and I cleaned out the basement for our big garage sale, we found this chess set that we bought for TJ in Austria about 25 years ago, so we brought it out and TJ and Robbie had fun playing
We had a great time with everyone and look forward to our next big event, Mollie and Paul's wedding. We will all be together again!
