Hi from the MTC-Provo

When ended June with a wonderful family reunion in Frisco, Colorado. Dad is creating a blog just about the reunion. It is a work in progress, but if you want to check in, go to http://mcveyfamilyreunionjune2011.blogspot.com/. There is only the home page up right now, but more will be added. After we let Frisco. TJ and family came to spend a few day with us in Denver. On the 4th Mollie, Paul, Kim, Warren and the girls all came to celebrate. We didn't do alot of fireworks, or should I say, we didn't do any fireworks, just poppers and sparklers, but alot of fun was had with just those two things. Madison, Abby, and Kaylee are showing a little attitude while playing with the sparklers.

Nicole had alot of fun with the sparklers

Taylor was to excited about them to began with.

Grandpa had the master lighter, so everyone came to him. Warren and TJ are trying to figure out a bike rack for the back of my car.

Not only do we have fun with fireworks, but when the neighbors sprinklers came on, the kids had to run, dance, and leap over the water in their clothes, no need for bathing suits

Tyler wasn't too sure about the sparklers, but loved the poppers.

Tuesday morning the 5th, saw us not only saying goodbye to the McVeys, but also my car. Pat Johnson (Warren's mom) bought the car from us, and Tiff and the girls drove it home so she wouldn't have to fly over to Colorado.

On the 18th of July, Grandma and Grandpa Mortensen came for a visit. It was their 65th wedding anniversary, so we went to NoNo's for dinner to celebrate.

After dinner, we all went to Mollie and Paul's so Grandma and grandma could their home. Grandpa was thrilled to see an elementary school named Mortensen. So of course we had to take a picture.

For some reason, I have no pictures from Thursday when Charlie, Maria,Grandpa, Tom and I went to Breckenridge. We had a wonderful time and missed Grandma who stay home to rest. On Friday we went Colorado Springs. We drove through the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, where we had this beautiful picture taken, then on to Kim and Warren's. Great time was had by all.

On July 29th Dad and I were set apart as missionaries. We were so happy to Kim, Warren, the girls, Mollie and Paul with us. It was a very special time and we become offical missionaries.

Here we are Saturday morning ready to go to the airport with our luggage that weighted too much. We didn't know that until we got to the airport, but we rearrange things (again) and were able to get on the plane. When we got to TJ's we went through all of the baggage again and left a box with John.

Saturday afternoon we all went up to Diane and Scott's house. Karen and Larry were there with all of their kids and grandchildred. We haven't seen some of the kids for years, so it was great to see everyone. Parker and Tyler had a lot of fun in the pool shooting their Dad.

Abby, our bathing beauty had a great time.

I don't think Madison got out of the pool once we got to Diane's until it was time to go.

Next month all of the mission news
