Happy birthday to all the October born individuals, dad, Grandma and Grandpa.
Everything is going well. Work is Work. We have won a number of jobs recently, one of them being a very large project at the University of Utah for Primary Children's Medical Center and the University. Pi'ikea is getting ready to be busy once the ski season starts. Salt Lake City's mountains received a couple of inches of snow during a recent cold front. Oh joy, our favorite thing ever, snow.
Our new ward had the typical three hour block for the first time since its creation. Our ward is huge, just as big as our last ward. On Saturday somebody from primary asked Pi'ikea and me to help out with Nursery (children 1.5 years to 3 years old) on Sunday. There are 36 little kids on the roster and about 20 of them came to church. To say the least it was fun, nobody knew what was going on. It was like walking through a minefield, wherever you stepped there was a kid ready to erupt with a loud cry for mommy or daddy. Pi'ikea and I escaped unscathed, almost, the largest wound came when one of the primary presidency introduced us to the Bishop and said we are great with the kids. I expect a phone call any day now with our new calling in Nursery. It would be a blessing to work in the Nursery, however; after almost six years of not knowing anybody in our wards besides the kids we teach it would be nice being able to meet the rest of the ward.
